City Services include a well-trained police force.
Ozark's police department provides for the general protection and safety of all citizens, businesses and visitors. It aggressively responds to criminal activity throughout the city in a manner consistent with safeguarding the rights of all citizens. It insists upon the highest degree of honesty, integrity and professionalism from all employees.
The department is willing and eager to help people within the community by means of education and to provide assistance at every opportunity.
The department consists of nine full time officers:
The Ozark Fire Department has one fulltime firefighter and is further manned with volunteer firefighters and first responders. It is responsible for the city’s current fire and emergency protection.
The street department for the city of Ozark has responsibility for all street maintenance and repair; city right of way drainage; maintenance and improvements to all city parks; maintenance of city owned properties; Highland Cemetery transactions and upkeep; and collection of brush and yard waste.
Recent accomplishments by the crew were: reconstruction of tennis courts; walking trail in the West Side Park; reconstruction of Hillbilly Drive to the high school.
